Vote for Your Favorite Chef

Past guest blogger What's In De Pot (Shaan Grande) is in the running for Favorite Chef. He’s on a mission to share the range of food that the Caribbean has to offer, along with his take on delicious BBQ.

If you’re not familiar with his work, we recommend checking out his YouTube channel. He’s got a variety of delicious recipes to try, many often involving the use of a grill. Case in point, check out his recipe for Guava Glazed BBQ Pork that feature some of our spices such as our Island Herb Blend (Caribbean green seasoning) and our Island Medley Pepper Sauce. The pork is so succulent and tender, it will have you drooling.

Shaan first started cooking at the age of nine, and brings a Trinidadian twist to many of his dishes. Signature dishes of his includes his Trini Corn Soup, Yellow Rice, and BBQ Chicken. If he wins the $50,000 he’ll use the money to upgrade his equipment and production so that he can make better videos and work with other new creators in the industry.

Make sure to cast your vote for Shaan. You can vote daily for free through Facebook, or you can purchase a hero vote to benefit Feeding America.

  • Semi-final votes end on Thursday, March 25th at 6 PM PST.
