Putting Our Dreams in Drive

If you’ve been following our journey from the very beginning, then you know that Camella’s Kitchen was officially started in 2019. We opened our doors (figuratively) to customers in March and have been selling our flavors ever since. It’s been an exciting experience to sell online and at pop-ups! We’re still very new to the journey of entrepreneurship, so along the way, we’ve turned to different resources to help. We attended various in person events last year, in an effort to learn from our peers and others in the industry. Similarly, we surrounded ourselves with knowledge. Business and how-to books have been a mainstay, along with listening to podcasts. One of our favorite podcasts to listen to is Dreams in Drive, which is hosted by chief storyteller Rana Campbell.

Fuel to keep going

One of the great things about podcasts is that you can listen to them at your convenience no matter where you are. For example, Nyana loves listening to them on commutes and even when working out at times. They are so easy to put on when doing other tasks around home as well! Dreams in Drive has a great mix of advice from entrepreneurs who’ve put the keys in the ignition in order to move their vision forward, and there are also motivational episodes from the host herself. As an entrepreneur, it’s been insightful getting to hear from other entrepreneurs on their own journeys, and to also hear Rana’s personal perspective as well. We’d say it truly has been inspirational to follow Rana on her journey from side hustle to main hustle through her podcast.

Whipping it up in the Kitchen

Rana calls her community of listeners Dream Drivers. And as Dream Drivers putting our vision into motion, we couldn’t help but notice that she constantly talked about her love of food and cooking. So naturally, we as entrepreneurs in our own right, decided to partner with Rana for her very first video in her In the Kitchen series to show you just how good entrepreneurship tastes. And boy oh boy, were the results good! We’ve teamed up to create Sweet Lemon Pepper Shrimp with Spicy Mango Chutney. Rana paired up with former Dreams in Drive guest Samantha Dazzle for a fire video. See the results for yourself:
