The founders of Camella’s Kitchen at a farm in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Greetings! We’re Nyana and Karen, the women behind Camella’s Kitchen.
We’re hoping to create positive changes in the food space, but in order to do so, we need your help to scale our two-person operation. Our vision is to be Unapologetically Bold—we're serving up locally sourced Caribbean flavors AND we’re building a better food culture rooted in community. By donating to us, you’ll contribute to making our communities more sustainable, and will help to further the green economy in the DC metro area. Won't you join us?
What will your donations support:
$10 – Free up our time to work on our craft by increasing our shipping capability (one month)
$25 – Cover our ink and paper costs. Those bottles and jars don’t label themselves (one month)
$50 – Give us the peace of mind to work on our craft by making it easier to maintain our books (two months)
$100 – Aide in our marketing efforts so that we can expand our reach and scale up our operations (one month)
$250 – Bolster our commitment to purchase farm fresh ingredients to use in our sauces and seasonings (one month)
$500 – Support our efforts to get a refrigerator so that we can store more produce from our farmers
* Please note that these donations are not tax-deductible. As a small Black-woman owned business, your donations will help us to further scale up our operations and support the work that we do with small Black-owned farms in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Your donations also help to support the free content that we provide, including the free recipes on our blog and YouTube.
